Engine Mount replacement 200 1993

Just did a couple of '92 240's. I used a piece of 4x4 resting over the engine. Passed an eye-bolt through it and with a snap hook, latched onto the engine hoist at the thermostat. This supported the weight of the engine as I worked both mounts. The tricky part is getting the new mount in and the bolt holes to easily match up with the engine block. Here I used a bottle jack on one side to "tip" the engine enough to line up holes. I caught a side of the oilpan or any other off-center surface to manipulate the line-up as necessary. A bottle jack is small enough to not take up too much space and give me room to work under the car.

For the fun of Volvos,
Mike
