Dear p700walk,

May this find you well. According to Volvo VADIS (the now-superseded dealer parts and service database) the item you need is Part #1268231. It is called a "filler strip". It should cost about $20 at a Volvo dealer. It may come as a single length, which you'll have to cut.

As the glass compresses this "filler strip", when the glass is seated into the "lift rail" (the metal pieces, that link the glass to the lift arms), great care will be needed when emplacing the glass.

You may be able to re-seat the glass into the "lift rail", by hand pressure on it. If this does not work, I'd try to "tap" on the glass. It is tempered. Such glass can shatter, when struck on an edge.

Rather, I'd go to an auto glass repair shop, and let them do it. A replacement window is about $115.00 (dealer price).

Finally, you could use silicone, to re-bed the glass. Clean the glass with rubbing alcohol and clean the rubber strip, as well.
