Hose Heater, Will it Harm the Water Pump on a B230 Engine, Tank heater? 900 1993

I plan on installing a hose heater in my daughter's car to help starting in Northern MN this next Winter. It is a Kat 600 Watt unit so will put out quite a bit of hot water next to the water pump. Since these water pumps are not the best (I have replaced many), I am wondering if the hot water may hurt the water pump seals?? I know the frost plug type and tank type are better but the frost plug type is difficult to install (especially for an old dad) and prone to leaks.

I am thinking that a tank heater may be easier and not as hard to install as a frost plug heater so, if anyone has pictures of a tank heater installation on a B230, I would appreciate getting them. My email is gande900@yahoo.com. I am wondering how the hoses could be routed and where the heater could be mounted.

Thank you.
