Performance Chip 200 1993

That's like saying you can get blood from a stone.

Seriously the advertisement should read:
Is capable of supporting up to 50 more HP, etc, etc, etc.

I can see gaining better mileage, emissions, high altitude performance with a modified chip, and the stock ECU can do all that anyway, but there's alwys room for improvement.
There are lots of performance chips for LH 2.4 out there that can do this, but in order to achieve these type of increases you need to do a lot of other things, too like improving fuel, i.e. injectors, improving head flow, i.e. cam, valves, porting, intake and exhaust, etc.
An un-chipped LH 2.4 B230F which your car has, can 'learn' as it goes with simply adding these type of changes and get increased power numbers, without anything added or modified in the ECU. There are people with stock LH 2.4 cars that have squeezed over 300 hp from a B230FT motor, and never 'chipped' the ECU.
