Clunky steering 140-160 1972

I have recently replaced most of the replaceable components in the front suspension - track rods, ball joints, bushes, steering pinion bush, anti-roll bar drop arm bushes, steering intermadiate shaft bushes - all of which were in a fairly bad way. This has resulted in the loss of all 'clonks' & 'clunks'. You could say would it not have been better to have isolated the culprit? Possibly, but eventually, given that my 142S is a 1970 car, the rest would need doing so I took the plunge and did the lot to good effect.
