Master Cylinder Rebuild Kit 900 1994

The faqs here say not to rebuild a master cylinder. Any idea why if the cylinder bore is not pitted? I rebuilt one on either a 1980 240 or 1983 240 with good results.

I cannot find a rebuild kit so maybe there is a good reason.

The cheapest I could find for a new master cylinder was a Dorman HPX for $127.99 (any good?). The ATEs are around $185.

So, does anyone know whether there is an available kit and also if a Dorman HPX master cylinder is any good.

Thank you.
