Front seal carrier 200 1992

Got into a timing belt replacement and noticed an area of wet oil around the front intermediate shaft. Wetness carrys down to the crankshaft, too. So, to be safe, I'm thinking of replacing those seals. Then it occurred to me that the gaskets for the seal carrier may or may not be suspect as well and therefore why not replace it/them as well. Bentley is a little vague around the specifics of this area.

So, what and how many gaskets are needed for the front seal carrier? Any gasket sealing goop needed? Any special watchouts? Seal carrier bolts torqued?

For the fun of Volvos
