S/V 90's, S90-V90

General consensus among you folks...you like 'em? I had a '94 964 that I loved, but got into an accident years ago and it was totaled. Have also had a 940, and 2 850's. Need a "new" car (new to me) soon, and I'm looking at some S90s with 70-80k miles for around $6-7k. I read some posts...are the "newer" 6 cylinder engines not as "fun" as those from '93/'94??

Dewfpo, I think I met you once in Glenwood Springs, CO (in 2003 or 2004) along the street just off the main drag and saw a 960, and asked the folks on the porch whose car it was. Anyway, I'm back in the Chicago area, so there are quite a few nice, low mileage S90s and even some '95 940s to choose from.

Also, are the rear main seals on the 960/S90 as bad as the 850s? I can't remember...I do remember the ticking of the lifters, but the "Italian tuneup" always fixed the problem....

Thanks,

Nick
