New-to-me Brick 200 1977

I just wanted to link the Brickboard to my newest purchase, a 1977 Volvo 242 DL. It's shipping from a town not far from Spokane, Washington, to Fredericksburg, Virginia, and should arrive the first week of November.

Long story short is that I sold my excellent 1993 Volvo 244 thinking I would use the $4,000 as a down-payment on a brand new Subaru. When I found out I couldn't obtain favorable new-car financing, I was stuck with no car, a few grand, and a borrowed Buick Park Avenue.

Realizing that I made a mistake of not having found a good horse before selling the one I was riding, I started to shop the IPD classifieds. Lo-and-behold I found my replacement. A 1977 Volvo 242 with only 67,000 miles. I took the plunge, bought the car, and now we'll see what shows up on my door early next month.

Everything is in excellent order and I look forward to sharing with the Brickboard my daily driving experiences as I work the very minor bugs out of the car and turn her into a garaged show car. I plan on driving the car for a year, and then putting antique tags on the car after I get everything ship-shape!
