Weber carb question 120-130 1967

This 220 B18 with unknown but probable A cam, has the flame trap vented to atmosphere. Is there a logical place to connect it to the carb/intake manifold?

I tried hooking up the hose to the circled part of the pic which has a short length of hose plugged by a large screw. That resulted in extremely high rpm at cold start.
