Help with timing marks on B21 1981 NA 244DL lost my timing marks replacing timing belt! HELP! 200

I have been the unfortunate soul that has meant well. I started to replace the water pump on my 81 244 NA and noticed that the timing belt was the original. I bought all necessary parts and I screwed up and let things slip whilst changing the timing belt and tensioner. I cannot find the timing marks on the motor. I can find the camshaft timing marks just fine. The distributor gear mark on the pulley is easily found, but the notch on the timing gear cover is not so easy to find. Nor is the mark on the crankshaft pulley. Can somebody help me as my car will not start if I cannot figure out the proper starting point for putting the timing belt back on. I have looked in many places, only to find very grainy pics and nondescript identification of the timing marks on B230 series motors. I have a B21 series Kjet.

Please help.

thanks
Kevin
