Broke OD Solenoid Bolt 200 1991

I was working on my sister's car the other day. Her transmission needed a new OD solenoid, so I was replacing it with the IPD bypass kit. While working on getting the old solenoid out I managed to brake one of the two bolts. I prayed that it wouldn't leak with just one bolt holding the bypass on, but of course-- it leaks. I really don't want to have to drop the tranny to get the bolt out. Does anyone have any advice/ had this problem? If I do have to drop the tranny down, can I just remove the cross member that the tranny mount is attached to, and get it low enough to get a drill on the bolt?
Thanks!
