Rear axle shaft compatibility, and removal 200 1992

Hello all, I need to replace the right axle on my 92 245. I saw a likely donor the other day at the pic-n-pull, an 89 245 with the rotors and calipers already removed. Are those axles compatible?

And the other question if the axle comes out with a bearing and outer seal that look and feel good, is it ok to reuse them?

Also are the left and right axles the same? I saw an exploded veiw that looks as if the retainer flange is shaped different between left and right, making them side specific.
