Speedo and Tach out? 700 1991

Gotta a sweet deal on a mint 740 sedan. Just going thru some little DIYers.

The odometer works but Speedo and Tach nada. Also this is a Rex/Regina car, so is the cluster the same for a Bosch car if I pull a good one from the junk yard?

Is it ok to take my 92 740 turbo cluster out and check on the 91 740 Rex/Regina?

Which plug is from the axel sender to back of cluster? I was gonna check with a 'two wire short' to mimick the sender signal.
