Car Talk on Volvo for a teen - funny story, the fan fell out 200

It sounds like that guy bought a beater, but the advice is valid. A Volvo is a great car for a teenager. Besides, vintage is cool again. My daughter (in graduate school) said people often admire her V70 and are amazed to see it is manual transmission. A manual transmission car is by far the best thing you could do to teach a teenager to drive responsibly. For that matter, I can think of a lot of adults who should be forced to go back to relatively low power, manual transmission cars. You would see a lot less jerk reactive driving on our roads (I'm talking about USA).
