Brake Lights out on '89 240 200 1989

Hi Gents, I have no brake lights and this one has me stumped. I have power from Fuse #7, (green/red wire) to the brake light switch at the pedal. If I jump the switch (blue/red wire), I get nothing. If I jump from the GR at the pedal switch to the BFWS, post #9,(B/R wire) I have brake lights. It would seem that I should also have brake lights when I jump the switch - (which would tell me I have a bad switch). As it is now, I am not sure what to make of it. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks, Bernie
