So i took the advice of fellow brickers and decided to retap the hole, i used a 3/8th -16 Tap on the hole and it was PERFECT, my local auto store has generic Manifold stud kit's on there shelfs and i was able to find a kit with the exact size and thread that i needed. the Tapping gave no trouble and i now have a slightly longer manifold stud in place and tight as can be! total cost was $7.00 for the stud kit, i already had a tap and die kit laying around. Thanks for the suggestion to do so, i didnt think it was going to work out well.
