This might help you it might not...
On my car (240, also recently purchased) it too had a weird noise...not chewbacca-ish but more like an Oink Oink coming from the rear in turns/bumps.

Turned out to be the outer shell/dust shield of the rear shock rubbing against the inner portion during its compression...a little grease on there and it is now all quiet. But it does tell me that at some point I'll need to replace them (the shell is almost to the point of disintegrating, but the shock still works- for now...)

Of course mine are not nivomats, so maybe this doesn't help...but it won't hurt to check!
