Security System Problem-Car won't start S90-V90

Chilliwack,

Thanks for the suggestion. It turned out that the battery cable clamp was loose.
There is a little bolt on the end of the cable that you tighten and it pulls a small "V" shaped piece tight which tightens the clamp. The little piece was broken. The volvo place does not sell the small piece by itself but I got a split-bolt connector at Home depot which I tightened around the end of the battery terminal. It is a tight fit but worked well. The clamp, if you ever need one is 10H-B1 made by Thomas & Betts and is in the electrical department.

I tried your suggestion, which might have worked, but when I tried it the clamp was not connecting well and once I fixed the clamp, everything was normal.

Thanks for taking time to respond to my question.

Jimo
