No start - please point me to a thread 200 1992

I have searched, but have not found the thread or faq. Below are the symptoms if needed.

92 245 w/ 210K. What has been a hard start/no start on wet mornings has come to a total no start ..regardless. Apparently it was not the weather after all.

No spark at coil, but positive side of coil is hot. Of course that means there is no spark at the #1 plug. Checked distributor ...strip was TOTALLY gone (never seen one this bad) between center and end of the rotor button. Replaced that, still nothing. Have tried a coil and ignition module from a 89 760 ..still no start.

At one point my bro-in-law said he saw a blue spark while checking coil with a screwdriver, but it was gone the next time he checked.

I read that a system can be overtaxed by a bad part. Well the rotor was bad, and has been - so I am wondering if that created other probs.

Crank sensor wire looks new, so I am hoping it is good ...but not sure how to check that.

Any direction to a thread or direct help would be greatly appreciated.
