Bend my upper door corner back 200 1989

Hi,
My driverside upper door corner is bent outwards and is leaking air, sound and water. It's probably about 4-5 inches in both direction that is not flush with cabin. The gap is 1/2 an inch at the most. My first thought is to put a piece of wood at an angle between the post in between the doors and the roof and bend the corner ( with the window down) of the door against it. Good or bad?

John
