Alternator Conversion Wiring 120-130

I'm getting ready to change my 63 122s Estate to an alternator and in determining what connections to make, it seems I need to add a fused power lead from the keyed part of the fuse block. In my wiring loom there is a black wire provided (folded back and inactive) in the wire cover to my regulator. I can't find the other end of this wire anywhere else. It doesn't appear in my wiring diagram. Is this wire there for an alternator changeover? Where is the other end? Does anyone know what else the wire would be there for?
