b18 spec question 120-130

The motor you have, I'd pull it apart, service the head, hopefully just hone & fit new rings & fit a new cam. Spend the minimum amount on it so you can drive it around.

$5000: I'd get an early B20E short block, a B20 head & build something separate. You need twin 45 or 48mm DCOE's or DHLA's on a good manifold + very carefully ported head. Exhaust depends on how big you make the cam & the bottom end can be pretty close to a stock overhaul B20 +.040"

Alternate induction: 4x Mikuni HS40's might be great if you found a set. Megasquirt is cool too, but the D-Jet manifold isn't all it could be & would need a great deal of work to get close to 2x 45mm DCOE output.
