rear suspension - how to diagnose springs? 900 1994

To work on the front end (flush brakes, new cone bushes, mount snows) I put the jack under the centre of the cross member to raise it for jack stands. When suspended on the jack and both back wheels on the ground, the left rear wheel disappears up into the wheel well, the right one is clear of the fender edge by about 3in, the whole car leaning to the left.

It has been driving fine for my 60 km daily commute, but I don't push it particularly hard. I never noticed any squirrely handling either braking or cornering. It is live axle, not IRS.

Do I have trouble brewing?
Is there a simple way to diagnose weak spring?
And if there is a problem, what do you recommend for replacement springs?
