windshield seal gap 200 1988

hi,

well i found where the water is coming into the wagon. there's a piece of the seal that's lifted away from the body, about a 1/4 inch gap. is there anything i can use to seal the gap ?l i can see where the seal has lifted away from the body of the car & water is entering through that point.

is a terrible idea to try to fill the gap with silicone, urethane or something else? from what i gather, it looks like the other option is too replace the whole windshield entirely.

i know many volvo owners also experience the 'joy' of water on the floor.
thanks for your input,
dan
