Spark plug / wire set problem 200

You know, that is a good question. I remember the last time I switched out the plugs the one at the rear of the engine seemed to start to cross thread.
I backed it out and carefully re-screwed it in place trying to notice any unusal resistance. I torqed it per specs.
When I removed the suspect plug - same one - to replace it with a known good one, I noticed a slight warping or dent on the metal seal ring.
What are you thinking?
