940 airbox trick 900

Is it necessary to trick the airbox on 940's? On 240's the wax pellet or element in the airbox fails and only lets hot air in 100% of the time from the exhaust manifold hot air tube which should only let hot air in during warm up. When this condition occurs, the AMM fails prematurely. The fix on 240's is to trick the airbox so that it only gets cold air 100% of the time. You just replace the shaft in the wax pellet with a nail so that the flap in the airbox stays open to cold air only. Do 940 airboxes fail to the hot air side and need to be tricked like the 240's? Thank You in advance.
