M47 swap from 240 Into 940 GLE auto, hard? worth it? 900

I have a 91 940 GLE that is an auto but would rather have a stick. There is a M47 that I would like to pick up and possibly do this but is there a lot to worry about. The 240 is a 87 model. Can I use the clutch assembly or do I need one from a 900 or 700 series?. Not sure if I would need to switch out the rear axle either but I believe the GLE came with 4.10 ratios. Any guidence or advice appreciated, I will be doing this myself also.
