how do I move back seats on 1987 240 wagon??? 200 1987

Okay so I am pulling some perfect seats out of a 1987 240 wagon GL . I was able to get them all out (front and back bottom part out with no problems. However I spent 2 hours this evening trying to take out the back rest part of the back seat. It is hinged but can't find a spring or any thing to take it out. I even tried to pry it out with a bar. I quit before I damaged the leather. Anyway I called every Volvo person I know, even IPD. I can't get an answer!! Please anyone helpme with this so my Restore project will be complete.
