I can't speak for George, so I can't say what he might think about JB weld as a solution to worn steering gears.

But I'd strongly urge you to NOT do this. Should the JB let go and fall into the works, you'll have new - and perhaps serious - problems.

Source a replacement box. Chris Horn is near Portland and is one of the very best resources for old Volvo parts. Find him here:
