yet another alternator question.... 200

Anyone have a great horse for sale? My alternator woes have been documented in another thread. All the signs pointed to a bad alternator. This is my busiest time of year at work so I bought one at closest auto parts store. I installed it and the situation did not change. The voltage numbers were the same with both alternators (11.55 with the car running). I checked all the tips from brickboard. In the interest of time I took my 240 to the only shop I trust. They told me they could find nothing wrong and were 99% sure it was the replacement alternator. Has anyone ever bought a bad alternator? It seems like a remote possibility however I trust this shop. It is the only place I have used in 6 years.
