91 volvo 240 stat. wagon electircal issue

I have 1991 volvo station wagon 240, i was driving through mud today and driving home the E-brake, check engine, light bulb, brake failure lights all came on.
I took the battery to kragen, the battery checked out fine, all the wires were connected to the alternator that i could see.
could something just have gotten wet?
