Metal powder in my tranny fluid (85 245) 200 1985

So I checked the fluid in my tranny today, to see if it was low and that was what was causing my OD/reverse issue.

When I checked the fluid during the solenoid fix, the fluid wasn't bad. But then when got everything "fixed" (solenoid back in) reverse didn't give me issues. But I had no OD.

So I checked the fluid just now, The level was fine, BUT....the fluid (which has MAYBE 30 miles on it) was aluminumish in color. There was a far more obvious fine powder in it than there was earlier (both the initial tranny flush a year ago, and the 1st of 2 flushes during the solenoid fiasco).

Is that a sign that my OD is in the process of buying the farm?

wrackka frackka...
