I've won! 700 1990

Your odessey plus Some annoying stuff I've tracked done makes me a real believer in having the ability to test all I can before changing parts. I buit an adapter to put a gauge at the fuel rail in about 30 seconds. Go cut the male female fittings from a fuel rail & the mating fuel line. Silver solder them together w/ a tee (gauge fits in center) & instant fuel pressure test. I bought a very good VOM (Fluke 88) after a cheaper brand added to the problems I was chasing.

Most of the problems we see on the board are from the car missing the basics (fuel, spark, air etc). Being able to test saves hoping to solve by changing parts. There are a lot of parts involved & invariably the problem child will be well down the list.

I am 1 of the worst for jumping to action before finding what is causing a fault. I know it is just wishful thinking that I'll get lucky but I think I'm over that attitude now. Keep an eye out for good quality testing gear & assemble an arsenal. You might as well the damn cars run forever.
