RK 1897 salesbrochure (for US market), showing (and printet with huge blue/red letters on top of the brochure) 1966 program - includes the quote 'Two-door Sports Sedan' - and the factual give away and end of discussion is:

The 1966 yearmodel 544 in 'sport' version came with a 95 bhp SAE B18D engine - which was NEWS for all of the 1966 yearmodel Volvos.

(1965 yearmodels with B18D where 90 bhp SAE engines).
