940 NA Locker diff ratio 700 1989

"I think all 940 NA ratios with 1041 axle are 4.10. That's what my owners manual says.
The Turbo is 3.73 but I don't think it has the locker diff."
Bruce--I am not sure of what it is you are saying. Are all 940 NA cars equipped with the locker? My '92 940 Turbo definetely had that feature. And this leads me to wonder if the locker diff "guts" I saved will fit into the housing of the '93 245 I have stored in NC. That car will be the recipient of the Oldsmobile aluminum 215 V8 I now have in a '76 265 body. I'll be chucking the Olds Hydramatic and going with a T5 from a Camaro. In the 265 I swapped in a 164 auto rear with 3.31 gears to replace the original B27 auto 3.54 in a quest for better mpg's. The loss of gear advantage was noticeable. I think the '93 also has 3.73's which should make the car much more responsive--and the fairly long ratio of the T5 should make for very low rpm cruising. -- Dave
