3.3:1 Rear Axle Ratio with Automatic?

Has anyone on the BB put an automatic (AW70) in a 240 that originally was equipped with an M46/M47 and the 3.3:1 rear axle ratio?

Most of the automatic transmission cars have a 3.73 and I'm curious if anyone has any experience with this type of swap. I understand that I'll loose some off-the-line performance, but the lower ratio rear is appealing for highway driving. Additionally, I'm going to +T the car using parts from a '91 940 turbo, so that should help with the initial torque.
