coolant flushing techniques? 200

i recently bought a 240 wagon in which the po used orange dexcool for some time.

upon getting my hands on the car i flushed it all out before replacing it with green coolant i use in all my volvos.

mixing the two can be lethal for an engine as the combination causes a gel to form within the cooling passageways as well as depriving the water pump of lubrication.

i have yet to put much more than 100 miles of small runs on this car since flushing a month ago. i am not finished with tweaking the little problems.

yesterday i noticed the expansion tank is not green as it should be but an almost clear look with a slight orange color. this has me concerned.

anyone have really good methods to clean out the cooling system? i have read the faq's and done them yet have arrived at what i just described.
