Hey guys,
Well as some of you may know i have been busting my ass working on getting this car running worth a damn.Well today i went thru the timing and took the valve cover off and spun the motor over while watching where the rotor fires just to eliminate timing as a problem.
Heres what the car does when i get it running.Runs really rich and runs on 3 cylinders from 900-3500 then past that it rips on all 4's.Now i am questioning either the ecu's might be damaged as they came from the car that i got the motor from.Which suffered a car fire at idle.So i been thinking just maybe one of the computers is damaged...
Now i do have the n/a computers from the 240.But i don't think swapping them would make a difference as i am running 850T injectors just to diagnose the problem.
Id like to hear idea's for the fix.Im pretty confident that my timing is spot on...
Here's what i have done to try and chase the problem down..
-Fuel pump relay (swapped)
-Cleaned grounds (all i could find at least i think)
-Swapped power stage
-New plugs
-850T Injectors (came from a running car)
-New plug wires
-Swapped rear temp sensor and plug (made it run a hair better)
-Compression is 155-165-168-152
I also have a timing gun laying around but im about 99% sure its timed right.
Now i know this is a dumb question but is there any relays in the car that could cause the car to run really rich?Or any other dumb things that might cause the problem i am having?
I'd greatly appreciate any ideas are worth trying out...
