Voltage Regulator Brush shape - angle seems unusual 700 1986

So I buy a rebuilt Bosch alternator from Grand Rebuilders (starters-alternators) – 100a for $62

Checking it out I see the voltage regulator is Bosch, but it looks used. Remove it to look at brushes. They are long, clean, and equal length but the contact angle is about 45 degrees instead of 90 degrees in relation to vertical. They have some wear as if in its previous life-use this was acceptable.

My mechanic is going to install this alternator. In the meantime should I worry about this angle and maybe sand it down? Or just have it installed and see what happens?
