Trouble tightening strut rod nut 200

I replaced the struts in my 240, had a local garage replace one of the tie rod ends that I couldn't get off, and align the front end. I asked them to tighten everything down, and at first everything was tight and quiet. But then the driver's side strut rod started clunking. I tightened it down with my impact wrench, and it was okay around the block, but 1/2 mile down the road it started clunking again. Again, I tightened it down, and it was fine for awhile. But maybe I'm not tightening it enough.

Using an impact wrench, how do I know when the nut is tight enough so it won't come loose?
