exhaust burbling noise and PCV 120-130 1967

It finally got warm enough in my garage to add a PCV valve, from the dealer, and stick the other end into the carb. It works!

But when I rev the engine up to about 2K, the hose from the air cleaner to the oil filler cap starts to lift up at the cap. At about 2500+ rpm, the hose goes back down. There is no clamp, and it does easily come off. Is this right? Or am I missing something?

The second question is a little strange. Regardless of timing changes, the exhaust burbles with an occasional putt. I adjusted the valves to spec and they appear to be good. Plugs are new, gapped correctly, but not resistor type. I tanked up with 89 octane last October, but it did that with 87 octane.

Otherwise, if the roads weren't grey with salt, I would be out driving it! I can't wait until April :)
