safety compared to newer cars 200 1988

NHSTA released driver death rates per 10000 registered vehicles in 1994. The 1990-1993 240 had the lowest rate of any reported vehicle of that time. I would challenge anyone that comes out with a blanket statement that "newer vehicles are safer because their newer" to spend some time researching this. It drives me a little crazy that people can make these staements with absolutely no data to back it up. Yes some cars new cars are safer than old cars and some old cars are safer then new cars. Why not spend some time looking at actually data and making a statement that means something. I have 3 1990 240's and all 3 are still rust free.
