240 GLT ebay quandry 200

I have a nice '71 144, but am getting greedy and seeking out a 240 wagon to buy. There's one on ebay that I'm considering, which has the 2.3 motor, an auto trans, and the two extra pop-up seats in the back. It looks tidy, but the lambda sond light is on, and it idles a little rough when the engine is cold. The airflow mass sensor was replaced 6 months ago, which fixed the problem last time the dash light came on. Should I be worried about bidding on the car? I assume that the catalyser could possibly be at fault, and is prohibitively expensive to replace -- however it can legally be run without it.
