the reason 240s are safer than other cars is because other cars are long gone on the highway while you are waiting to pass that coveted 60 mph mark.
ok, more seriously, i had some sweet and fast cars, including a red german hatchback, but i am happy in 240 because i found the inertia. i roll at my 70 mph on the straights, and in the turns, and i know that's where i am gonna be for a long time. long wheelbase helps me mellow out on long rides.
just rented a honda fit recently. damn that thing is fast. but again, i had to take every turn as fast as i could, engine spinning at 5500 rpms, death grip on the wheel. the 240 mellows me out and i just don't care about racing other cars. i just pass them as they are dozing off on another vile of their prescription medication.
