Recommended Tire Size 1970 P1800E 1800

Hi all. I've recently purchased a 1970 P1800E to add to my stable of bricks.

The car came with the original mags - not sure how to describe them, but they are black with silver striping and have the center apex with a "V" in the middle. Shown in this picture: www.motorbase.com/profiles/vehicle/picture.ehtml?i=808;p=-526539559

They look rather odd - and I considered getting either the original steel wheels to replace them, but figured that I would stay with them. They are a rare item, and certainly unique to the car.

The tires on these mags are the 165-15's (the original tire size I imagine). I would like to replace the tires.

I searched the archive and there is info on replacement tire sizes, however I can't find any for this type of mag wheel. Maybe it makes no difference, but my question to the list is:

Any recommendations of tire size that would work well for THIS ORIGINAL TYPE of mag wheel? I would like to go wider than the original tires.

Thanks all,

Waggin
