True enough, I haven't had comprehensive coverage for years. It seems to me the last time I had a windshield replaced at a big chain I was amazed at the wiggle room in pricing - like they were picking a number out of a hat. I tried pricing the part from a parts supplier and it was in the $1200 range, but somehow Speedy managed to eat my deductable and install the windshield for $450 or so - where's the profit!
