Overdrive removal (85 245) 200 1985

I've been w/out my car for going on 3 months now (overdrive issue and no real hurry to pay to have it fixed)..and now, thanks to super friendly people, I have the parts I need to replace my whole OD unit.

My question: How do I remove it?

I understand you need to remove the drive shaft from it, and lower the tranny so you can have access to the top 2 bolts..but how do you remove the drive shaft?

What size sockets/wrench would I use? I tried to loosen them today, but to no avail.

Any hints would be appreciated.
