If you want the best job possible why would you want them to do it out in front of your house?I installed autoglass for 20+ years both on location from a van and more often in our shop,while I always tried to do the best I could on location,I know more time and care went into the vehichles that where brought in and left preferably overnite.Would you have your dentist come over and try to do a quickie root canal on your back porch?
