Agreed, Tony, it's more than a little illogical, except that a crack in front of the driver's eyes takes the judgment factor out of it for the ins. co.

Otherwise, how sandblasted is "too" sandblasted? Those guys get paid/bonused for reducing or denying claims, not paying them. It has to be pretty much a black-and-white case for them to authorize repairs.

I replaced the S90 'shield and got the cash discount at a good shop recently. Great to see clearly again, but now I'm paranoid about winter gravel on our roads.
